L63 is a high-strength, aerospace aluminium tubular product which retains its strength after heat treatment.
The product is alloyed with 4-5% copper and supplied in the fully heat-treated condition (solution heat-treated & artificially aged). L63 is used widely in the aerospace and defence sector in the manufacture of high strength components. We stock L63 aluminium alloy tube in the T6 temper in pipe/tube form. The material offers improved machinability.
L63 aluminium tubes offer good strength after heat treatment and can be easily plated. The alloy can also be hard anodised.
