L117 is an aerospace tubular product based on 6061 aluminium alloy.
L117 aluminium tube is the least expensive and most versatile of the heat-treatable alloys. It is a medium to high strength heat-treatable material with enhanced corrosion resistance and medium fatigue strength. L117 is a tubular product supplied in the T6 annealed condition. The material provides excellent weldability and formability and is readily disposed to furnace brazing. The alloy finds typical usage in heavy-duty structures.
L117 aluminium tubes offer medium to high strength. The material is a heat-treatable alloy which has very good corrosion resistance.
