L56

Aerospace Aluminium Tube

L56 Aerospace Aluminium Tube

L56 is an alloyed non-heat-treatable tube product where higher mechanical properties are required together with a degree of formability.

For Offshore Applications

We supply L56 alloy tubes hydraulically tested in the 'O' temper condition. The material is ideally suited for offshore applications and boasts superior corrosion resistance. Standard, industrial and marine atmospheres promote few problems. L56 aluminium alloy tubes are based on the 5251 aluminium material designation.

Features

L56 aluminium tubes are easily welded and offer reasonable cold formability with good anodising properties. The alloy also offers very good corrosion resistance particularly in marine atmospheres.

Typical Applications

Commercial applications for this engineering material include:

  • Architectural panelling
  • Welded structures
  • Offshore applications
  • Pressure vessels
  • Appliances
  • Cabinets

We stock L56 in round tube.
