Hydraulically Tested Aluminium Tube
L56 is an alloyed non-heat treatable tube product where higher mechanical properties are required together with a degree of formability.
Hydraulically tested, L56 alloy tubes are supplied in the 'O' temper condition. Boasting very good corrosion resistance, the material is ideally suited for offshore applications. Normal, industrial and marine atmospheres promote few problems. L56 aluminium alloy tubes are based on the 5251 aluminium material designation.
L56 aluminium tubes are easily welded and offer reasonable cold formability with good anodising properties. The alloy also offers very good corrosion resistance particularly in marine atmospheres.
