Nickel Iron Chromium Alloy
Alloy 825 is a nickel iron chromium alloy which has been developed to provide exceptional resistance to numerous corrosive environments including both oxidation and reducing.
These environments include sulphuric, sulphurous, phosphoric, nitric, hydrofluoric and organic acids and alkalis such as sodium or potassium hydroxide, and acidic chloride solutions. Alloy 825 also offers outstanding performance in subsea applications.
Alloy 825 is a nickel alloy which readily formable and weldable with superb resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking. It is therefore an outstanding subsea performing alloy with excellent resistance to reducing and oxidizing acids, and pitting and crevice corrosion.
