Our copper hex bars are easy to machine, drill or saw and find use in a variety of engineering applications including conveyor tables, base plates, braces and homewares. Copper offers high electrical conductivity and finds extensive use in superconductors, electrical components and switchgear. Hex bars assist the machining process through the shape or grade of material - a good example being fasteners.

Processing

Our hexagonal bars are precisely shaped, and we provide your material in both full and cut lengths. Available in both imperial and metric sizes, all processing operations are handled by us internally. When you buy from Smiths, you are receiving a one-stop service for all your engineering raw material requirements. We process more than 2 million billets per annum across the Group, and often, we have bar stock that is pre-cut to specific lengths to speed up supply on standard sizes. We process hexagonal bars without marking or crushing.
