EN41 Steel (905M39)

Engineering Steel

EN41 Engineering Steel

EN41 is a chromium aluminium molybdenum nitriding steel.

High Wear Resistance

The engineering material offers high wear resistance together with toughness and ductility. EN41 is defined by its suitability for nitriding which gives the material a hard, wear resistant case. EN41 is harder wearing than EN40B and offers excellent abrasion resistance.

Features

EN41 engineering Steel is an excellent choice when wear and abrasion resistance is required. It is a harder wearing alloy than EN40B and also benefits from high toughness and ductility. EN41 is also classed as a nitriding steel alloy.

Typical Applications

Commercial applications for this engineering material include:

  • Valve stems
  • Connecting rods
  • Clutch plates
  • Shackle pins
  • Die casting dies

We stock EN41 in round bar.
