CZ115 (CW722R)

Brass Alloy

CZ115 Brass Alloy

CZ115 is similar in composition to CZ114 but with restricted aluminium content - this makes the alloy more suitable for applications where high strength brass components require to be joined, with improved soldering and brazing capabilities.

Good Machinability

The alloy boasts a good machinability rating. The introduction of greater levels of tin and iron improves the strength and corrosion resistance properties of this alloy considerably. Like CZ114, CZ115 is often referred to as a manganese bronze.

Benefits

CZ115 is a non-sparking material and offers good corrosion resistance. It is a high strength alloy which is suitable for soldering or brazing.

Typical Applications

Commercial applications for this engineering material include:

  • Pumps
  • Gas valves & fittings
  • Marine components
  • Transmission components
  • Decorative metalwork
  • Fasteners

We stock CZ115 in a variety of shapes.
