We are a world-class supplier of engineering raw materials. Our objective is to provide all our customers, from the small machine shop to the large multi-national corporation, a supply path that continuously delivers the highest levels of service, quality and value.
We stock an expansive range of bronze hollow bars in a vast selection of material grades and sizes to suit your engineering requirements. Due to the sheer scale of our stock and the fact that we offer products in such close incremental sizes, we are sure to have the right product for your needs. We also process your material in-house to specific lengths and tight tolerances.
Bronze hollows are ideal for use in the production of cylindrical components. Typical applications include pistons and piston rings, cranes, hoists, hydraulic equipment, valve bodies and power transmission systems.
Bronze hollows benefit from good toughness and durability, excellent corrosion resistance characteristics and good anti-galling properties.
While produced to similar standards as a solid bar, bronze hollow bars offer superior strength than tube due to increased wall thickness. As the end product weighs less than a solid bar, this results in a material which weighs less and represents a cost-effective alternative, as not only is it cheaper than a solid bar to produce, but also this form offers similar strength characteristics in comparison.
We stock Bronze Hollow Bar in a variety of grades.
Our knowledgeable staff and resident metallurgists will be pleased to assist you further on any technical topic. Smiths Metal Centres Limited also boasts an in-house UKAS Accredited Testing Laboratory which is unique within the multi-metal and plastic stockholding sector.
