Precipitation Hardening Stainless Steel

A286 Precipitation Hardening Stainless Steel

A-286 is an age-hardenable, iron-nickel-chromium superalloy.

High Tensile Strength

The alloy combines high tensile strength with high-temperature strength and good corrosion resistance. A-286 is used throughout the aerospace and oil and gas sector and can be used to produce products such as afterburner parts, jet engines and turbine components.

Features

A-286 finds use at high temperatures for lower stress applications. With high temperature and tensile strength, the alloy good corrosion and oxidation resistance.

Typical Applications

Commercial applications for this engineering material include:

  • Aerospace
  • Gas turbines
  • Jet engine blades
  • Afterburner parts
  • Exhaust parts
  • Turbine wheels
  • Manifold components
  • Screws

We stock A-286 in round bar.
