Aluminium tread plate (also referred to as chequer plate or diamond plate) is a non-slip plate product which features a five-bar pattern on one side, typically 1.5mm high, which is stamped onto the plate during the rolling process. It is a popular and highly versatile construction product which can be processed to meet your exact requirements. In commercial working environments where slip hazards are possible, treadplate is an effective solution as a health and safety measure.
The five-bar pattern creates a raised texture on the plate which will reduce the possibilities of slipping on stairs, fire escapes, loading bays, walkways, trailers and ramps. Aluminium tread plate offers a durable and robust, yet lightweight solution which is easy to fabricate. Aesthetically pleasing in appearance, the product has numerous uses across industries - for example, aluminium has superior mechanical and corrosion resistance characteristics when compared to mild steel. The material is also ideal for use in environments where hygiene is a consideration.
