BS S62 Aerospace Stainless Steel Bar is a martensitic stainless steel similar to 410 stainless steel but with an increased carbon content that improves hardness, strength and wear resistance. Corrosion resistance properties are achieved by the addition of >12% chromium and heat treatments. The alloy is not often welded, but it is possible.
S62 Aerospace Stainless Steel Bar includes increased carbon content which makes the alloy stronger and harder. It is a martensitic alloy which is similar to Type 410. Once hardened, the corrosion resistance of the material is good.
